Thread: How to Change Wifi Password

I have beetel 450tc1 Adsl Modem so i would like to change the wifi password now its defult password so pls help me to change it

To do

1. Type 192.168.1.1 in browser.

2. Input ID and password as admin.

3. A page will open, from Left side menu, select Wireless > Security

4. You will find an option to choose encryption (WEP, WPA2 etc), choose WPA2. Give password of your choice.

5. Again from Left side menu, choose the last option and you will find an option to save and reboot. Some modems have it in the wireless page itself.

If still facing problems, post the screen shot of wireless page here.

why WEP when meetdilip asked you to use WPA2?on top of that you used WEP(64 bits)which only allows for 5 characters excluding symbols or 10 characters ranging from 0-9,a,b,c,d,e,f(see your 2nd pic it is mentioned there clearly).just for your information anyone with a normal pc(dual core etc)can download a software from internet which will crack WEP password within minutes or at max a few hours.

I cant understand how can i select wep2 there is no option wep2 so pls explaing with pic thanks advance

Confirm default WEPsecurity key is/was 0987654321
and you could connect in wifi mode. for SSIDNo 1

2. Select SSID2 give a name
security key No 2 say abcde12345
Try to SAVE,
Give feedback..

3. Confirm you get other wifi stations in the Wlan
list in laptop.

Does it work for all the modem ?

Dear esbee i had change to ssid into 2 now i can use ur password wich u given if i given my password its getting same error b4 so can u com yahoo i will snd my team wiver id b4 i was add u in my yahoo

abcd 0000 to abcd9999 ten thousand combinations
calculate for other combinations.
