Smile Suggestions in choosing a router for BSNL broadband

    Hi Friends,

After a lot of research I have settled for Asus Wireless Router WL-520GU.

    My views for this router:
    1. Price : 1900 /- on eBay
    2. Has USB port
    3. Has inbuilt print server
    4. Support dd-wrt firmware
    5. Can be hacked to run BitTorrent on router itself
    6. CCan be used as a NAS

Its a WiFi g router and n so I am OK with that.

I intend to use it with BNSL Broadband. BSNL is providing ADSL modem free of cost. So I'll buy this and plug it in with the ADSL modem.

If anyone has used this router, or know about the performance please be kind enough to share your views.

    Thanks
    Suresh Mali

From which circle are you from ? As far as I know, BSNL has stopped supplying modems. In that case, you may need a WiFi modem cum router.

Yes that's right. It will be stored in the Connected USB drive, pen drive or a portable HDD.

I am from North Zone, Jaipur. they are offering free modem on unlimited plans of 750 and above. If they don't supply a modem I will get a D-link ADSL modem, its available for some 700 on ebay.
