Default Which Wireless router to buy(for dataone) ? (Will it compatible for Airtel also ?)

Hello People,

I have a BSNL BrdBnd(DataOne) since 2005, i have SmartAX MT882 modem and a Compaq Laptop with wifi capability. Decided to go for wireless connectivity.

Which wireless router to buy ? Any suggestions ? Also in case if i switch to another internet provider(Say Airtel) will i be able to use this wireless router since airtel uses (DSL technology) . Any insight over this would be greatful !

Also please suggest some(wireless router) names where people have used it coz what i feel after seeing the various posts in this great forum is that : buying the router is the first part but configuring and making it work is the bigger part in dataone !

Thanks in Advance.
Sam..

Thank You Admin for your fast reply !

But one more question Admin, can you be more specific in NetGear like model no. My budget is less than(or approx) Rs.3000.

Also i searched ebay and we have lot of products from LinkSys . Will this be good ? Did anyone use this for BSNL DataOne ?

Also for the second part of my prev question: Ie In case if i switch to Airtel or any other Broadband service providers will this Wireless router be compatible ?
[Since DataOne uses ADSL Technology & Airtel uses DSL Technology ]
or Whatever the technology the BrdBand providers are using has nothing to do with Wireless router's ?

Also what would be range of this Netgear Router ? Some of my friends say wireless have some problems like range, signal strength, penetration through walls etc.. [I need wireless connecty for home use only]

Kindly provide some info !

Thanks in Advance,
Sam..
