    Default Configuring a Cisco-LinkSys Modem

Hey guys, I just switched from Hathway to BSNL and I was asked to purchase a modem, which I did, I bought a Cisco LinkSys (Type 2) ADSL modem.
Now, the problem is, that person came and gave me my username and password and set the modem on my laptop..
(I HAVE MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD)
After getting some rewiring done, I now connected my modem to my PC and damn, its dead. I am not able to access the net. I pressed the reset button behind the modem as well, but its of no use. Could someone help me out with configuring the modem ?? Any help would be much appreciated

Mention model no. of modem. Linksys has many Type 2 ADSL models, we may get some help from manual. How much did you pay ? A friend of mine recently bought a Belkin WiFi modem cum router for around Rs. 2200 +. Very easy to set up and configuring WiFi is a one click business. Hope you did enough research before deciding on this model and is sure it is BSNL compatible.

In our place, you can simply take the modem to exchange (any 3 rd party modem) and they will configure it for you . Post the screen shot of modem menu page here, we may be able to find a modem tutorial with similar interface.
