Open port can be checked here>
    http://canyouseeme.org/

CanYouSeeMe.org - Open Port Check Tool
This page will serve as a free utility for remotely verifying a port is open or closed. It will be useful for users who wish to check to see if a server is running or a firewall or ISP is blocking certain ports.

Error: I could not see your service on 117.216.xx.xxx on port (7777)
    Reason: Connection timed out

    @jiwan
Check your IP. When you type it in address bar do you
get the Modem log in page or your "sampserver" ?
    try with a different laptop/desktop.
Enter your IP address in the DMZ box also.

This will change every time you log in and log out !!

For accessing your web server this address should be known.

In the Modem Under Management there is a menu item
called "Access control." buttons for http ftp telenet etc for both LAn and WAN ( external ) are available. you were asked to check whwether all are selected.

    Para two:
    Accessing WEBserver/ in Internet .

    Better do Google search "WEBSERVER"
or IN SEARCH box above ( for old threads of this forum)
and find out the procedure involved. Since you don't have STATIC IP allotted by BSNL check the DDNS option.
    http://www.no-ip.com/services/manage...namic_dns.html
    http://canyouseeme.org/ Check
    Ports are open are not.

too many unnecessary & potentially conflicting steps taken by you.disable DMZ,disable virtual servers & only use NAT-port forwarding setting.there create one rule for TCP & other for UDP for port 7777.also in your windows/norton internet security firewall check port 7777 is open.
