Data Sharing + Internet Sharing - Teracom Modem BSNL - NO WIFI

Dear Friends

There are four lan ports in the teracom BSNL modem

I have two computer nearby

I wanna connect them peer to peer and share Internet + data ( the data sharing whould work as normal peer to peer connection).

I assume that connecting the two computers in two different ports into the modem will allow me to share computer data and internet.

Question

Is my assumption correct.

If yes how do I configure my modem and computer ?

Although the guide is old and refers to Windows XP, more or less it should work for Windows 7 also with small changes to the approach.

Yep, possible. Either plug in two ethernet ports to two PCs or one ethernet and one WiFi. Enable file and printer sharing and share the drives / folder you wish to share. Sharing through ethernet will be much faster than compared to WiFi.
