Default Wierd problem with BSNL broadband

    Hi guys,

From past few days my bsnl broadband is acting wierd. The broadband speed is good, full 1 mbps, and i get 120-140 kBps download speed in utorrent. But when i make or recieve a call or evn pick up the phone or the phone is ringing, the speed goes to 0 kBps. When i cut the phone the speed comes back to normal. I've checked everything, the wires and the splitter. Everything seems to be normal.

Please help me solve this problem.

I've almost tried everything but the problem still persists. Also complained to the coustomer care, they said the problem must be with your set, but i checked with another set also but the problem is still there. Also i called the lineman (wasted 100 bucks), he checked all the wiring but couldn't find any error.

Last month my phone was dead for 5 days (BB was working). This problem started after the phone started working again.

I can't understand what to do now. I love to play online games but now i am loosing as the game time is over if any phone comes.

post your SNR & line attenuation values here.they are usually in modem device info/status setting.also directly connect telephone line to modem without splitter & then make a call to your landline no. & see what happens.

Its a connection problem for sure. I was also a victim once. Check your connection and all joints till DP. There must be some disturbances in sound. Next time tell your Lineman to change your connection pair and your problem will be solved.

As you said your BB was working and phone was dead, its because BB can work with a single wire connected(as told to me by a lineman).
