Thread: Bsnl Low Download Speed

Hi, Im using bsnl broadband from last 3-4 years........Never faced the problem of getting low download speed, but from past 3-4 days i am getting constant 29-30kbps download speed on 512 kbps connection...please help

1. Mention your location.

2. Mention modem - model and make.

3. How did you check your speed ? Try any download from Microsoft and report the speed here.

4. Download a healthy torrent and report the speed.

5. Did you install any new software before this issue started ? If so, try system restore to an older date and check.

6. Post your SNR and Attenuation values.

512 kbps is the kilo bits per second
if you go and convert it to kilo bytes per second
the speed in kilobytes per second KBPS is 64 so you will get speed nearby upto 64KBps
i have 256 kbps and always get abt 30 KBps

Obviously he meant KBps and since he was using 512 Kbps connection, his speed should be around 60 KBps.
