Thread: Windows 7 & modem VMC AN1020-21 type-2

Hello friends I have just bought Bsnl BB. I am using Windows 7 & the modem is VMC AN1020-21 type-2. My only query is that if I format my machine should I have to again configure the modem settings after the format process?

Is it set up ? Which mode are you using ? PPPoE or Dialer ?

If in PPPoE mode, there is no need to take any precautions for modem settings while formatting. Even if you format, it will make no change to modem settings. But if you use dialer mode, simply recreate the dialer and re enter ID and password in it after re installation.

Modem/router settings can be RESET again and again, and entering values is not a great difficult job.
