Default Unable to check my usage since some changes by BSNL

Hello guys, I am facing a strange problem. On 21st October my Broadband suddenly stopped working. I registered a complaint, after 6 days of calling them I finally received a call from them on 27th October saying that my username has been updated and password has been changed too.

They added _ncdr to my old username. I entered those new details in Modem and BB is back working but I am unable to check my BB usage.

My connection was old(from 2007), IP was in range of 59.x.x.x, and I used to check the usage on 10.240.43.216 without any problem.

Now since they changed my username/password my IP shifted to 117.x.x.x and I am unable to check the usage anywhere, neither on 10.240.43.216 nor on selfcare portal. I can still login on 10.240.43.216 with my old username and password but it shows my old username and BB usage is not updating, it only shows usage till 21st October, the last time my BB worked with old IP.

Any idea what is going on and what can I do?

Some details about my connection -
    Circle - Meerut, UP West
    Plan - BBG-FN-HOME-500-MONTHLY
    Selfcare URL/Region - selfcare.ndc.bsnl.co.in
IP location is shown as - India Meerut Broadband Multiplay Project O/o Dgm Bb Noc Bsnl Bangalore (checked on whois.domaintools.com)

    Thanks.

Just register at http://selfcare.ndc.bsnl.co.in and you will be able to check your broadband usage details there.

Sorry if I was not clear, but I am already registered on Selfcare portal since long. And on Selfcare portal too I could only see usage till 21st October. The usage is not updating anywhere.

One more thing on selfcare portal it still shows my old username i.e. without _ncdr appended to it.

Registering again is impossible because it asks for the account number at registration which is unique and already registered with my old id.

    Avoid quoting the full post.
Your old bb user id is gone now so is the unique id/customer no and to get the new unique id/customer no. either you have to contact your nearest exchange or have to wait till the next bill is generated.

Oh ok thanks for telling me that. I guess I will wait till the next bill comes and then update the post about the further proceedings.

    Thanks.

Sorry for double posting, but another thing came in my mind, since they transferred me to NIB-II (IP 117.x.x.x), would it be possible that I need the portal ID now to check the usage?

No, they are not providing portal id anymore. Now that your user id has changed, old portal id also won't work.

Ok a little update, yesterday evening they updated my Selfcare portal account to show my new username(with _ncdr), but all the usage record, BB plan etc. is gone.

How long it could take before it start showing my current usage? I thought it would update after 12 yesterday night, but today morning its still the same..

    Thanks.

Well, as the new username is updated already by the system automatically, the remaining delails will also get updated soon by the system itself and they don't need to interfere, so, wait till the next bill is generated before you take any step.

Yes till 21st October I could check usage on both Selfcare portal and on 10.240.43.216

I can still login on 10.240.43.216 using my old ID(without _ncdr) but it shows my status as offline and usage is shown only till 21st October. See the screenshots -

10.240.43.216 is useless for me now. Selfcare portal is what I have to use now to check my usage.
I hope it gets updated ASAP.

If the details are not updated till the bill generates then try registering with your new bb username and new unique id/customer no.

Are the other menu items contain details as usual ?

I think there is provision to change your Usage portal ID also.

Yes, I will do that, if they don't update the usage info till the next generation of bill.

You can't change the user id of selfcare portal, there is no provison like that.If you wish to, then you have to convince the people at exchange with giving proper reason and then if they agree, they will delete all the details especially the uniqe id/customer no. associated with the user name chosen/taken.

say ass42015112010@ bsnl.in as given can be changed. !!!
last eight digits show when the BB connection was given !!

data.bsnl.in is taking care of my broadband needs
and for Chennai BB users this portal is given .
like checking usage, check tariffplan/ change password etc
This cannot be called selfcare portal because the website address
does not contain the word selfcare!!!.
If use of term "selfcare portal": for this web site is against the "Constitution of India"
I will not use it in future.
    Thousand apologies.

@essbebe mate, that was for the thread starter as the person don't have that 14 digit portal id which you keep on talking about. Please do not confuse, that's not for you.

When did i say that data.bsnl.in is a selfcare portal?

Please, do not confuse between "data.bsnl.in" and selfcare portal. Both are different.
