    Unhappy download speed became less

    hi,
    this is my problem.

my broadband connection is home ul750+

It so happened that i had not payed a months broadband bill, i was allowed a trial time internet usage for a few days before connection was disconnected.

before disconnection:- internet speed awesome,, d/l speed around 220kb/s

after disconnection:- internet speed really s**ks,, it takes 1-2min to open a page in browser,d/l speed at max 30kb/s.

can anybody help regarding this matter and oblige
    thank you

I am using UL 750. Getting a download speed on 64 KBps (512 Kbps) and upload of around 60 KBps. How did you know that your speed is 30 kbps ? Sure it is not 30 KBps ?

    To do :

    1. Download any file from Microsoft and report the speed.

    2. Use a download manager like IDM and check.

    3. Try this guide

http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...onnection.html (How to: get max. speed of a connection)

It can also be related to port settings at exchange. Better visit in person and try explaining to JTO or SDE.

Hope you tried other methods listed in the guide. If that too fails, you will need to talk to someone at exchange.

You messed up. You are not going to get that 220kb/s speed again on your plan, you had the speed by accident but after the bill issue it reset to your default speed.

That speed is nearly or equal to 2Mbps and you must have got this speed in only the initial days as you have stated earlier(not to mention this happens only in rare cases) ...

and as your bill cycle started your speed/bandwidth is now capped according to your plan which is 512 Kbps or 64 KB/s Max.. rest depends on your wire signal quliaty etc etc
