Thread: No speed

Hello, I am from kolkata. My problem is that I have UlL750 Connection of 512 kbps but I get download speed only of 45kBps whereas I should be getting 64 kBps. In torrents as well as direct downloads,I get download speed of 45kBps.Please help me. I really need some help.

SNR Margin (dB): = Downstream=32.8 Upstream=19.0

64 KB/s is the maximum you can achieve in ideal condition where ideal means that your line is absolutely flawless having no joints/breaks...

You must be getting a good SNR ratio as well on your node, SNR depends on various conditions... so as to get full speed everything must be in good condition

try tweaking with this application.
tcp/ip optimizer from speedguide.net.

1. Try a speed test from speedtest.net and post the result. Try 2 or more test using different servers and check.

2. Download any file from Microsoft and report your speed.

3. For torrents, use healthy torrents from private trackers and check.

Ijust tried a healthy torrent as well as a direct download frm Microsoft, the speed is 45kBps. pls help

complaint at your local exchange.ask them to check the speed from their end at the exchange.you must get at least 55KBps.

Try changing your mode from ADSL2+ to G.DMT see if it works..

In my DSL settings all modes are checked=
G.Dmt Enabled
G.lite Enabled
T1.413 Enabled
ADSL2 Enabled
AnnexL Enabled
ADSL2+ Enabled
AnnexM Enabled

and still it gives low speed.

Everything is checked doesn't means that you will get the max speeds... dont go by the fancy names of the modes (in case you are) .... as researched by the member whitestar bsnl works more efficiently in G.DMT mode

So disable ADSL2 and ADSL2+ hope this works for you

in your dsl settings uncheck all options except G.dmt.then try downloading some file from microsoft site using download manager.

@player,don't give me so much credit & now for the irony i am now using ADSL2+ mode because G.Dmt mode does not work in the new area i have shifted to.it looks like in some areas ADSL2/2+ mode is the only option.
