i have a belkin basic 54mb router, which i want to connect to ut300r2u modem.
but the setup cant find the wireless device, which is already discoverable by lappy's wifi.
also cant open the http:/server for settings of the belkin router.

Ensure in your modem you have selected PPPoE ( and not "bridged")
enter userid/pw in wan page of modem.
(B)
Enable DHCP in LAN page range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
APPLY Save. In management SAVE/REBOOT wait for 2 minutes.
Confirm LAN ethernet mode working.
(C)
Belkins: use wizard. Select Dynamic IP
Give LAN address say 192.168.2.1 for Belkins router.
confirm SSID as shown in Belkin appears in altop.
Post as screenshot attachment connection status.
"Go advanced" Scroll down Attach files "Manage Attachments" Upload

Check in Broadband "How to... forum" Sticky" thread, having guides for your problem.
Procedure will be same.

gonna have to replace it.

jus call the tolll free helpline. they tell u the commands step by step

Since you have concluded Belkins WIFI router is O/O/O
hope you will select some other Make. !!!!

Some users set up is working/ some do not respond even if working do not give feedback.
So this thread also will be accessed at a later date without any factual info/input feedback from the user.
RESET the wifi router to Factory Settings> That will be the first advice you will get !!!
PS: I don't have a Belkins WIFI router.

they did't jus tell me to restore....
they talked me thru all the steps for reset, even waited for restarting the system, gave me alternate ip addresses and setting, had me try various settings.
the call lasted for over an hour but was satisfactory.
they even called me back wen i got disconnected to give me the name and address of the store where i can get it replaced.
in all, very nice experience, as against vodafone cust care..
