    Default is this line bad.....?

having very high rate of disconnections (once every five minutes)but the other times it works perfect.
i read in the other post that snr of around 20 -25 is ok,just wasnt sure was this for the upload or the download snr.

these are the numbers,(its of a time when line disconnected)

    DSL Status

    Status SHOWTIME
    Mode ADSL2+
    Type

    Downstream Upstream
    Rate (Kbps) 8190 508
    SNR Margin (dB) 6.5 21.8
    Attenuation (dB) 34.0 19.4
    Output Power (dBm) 0.0 12.5
    Super Frames 16268 16266
    Super Frame Errors 22 6

    Modem:compex adsl 2+ MRL21E

    Device Info

    Board ID: 96338L-2M-8M
    Software Version ID: V8.4.01.01
    Firmware Version: 3.00L.03.A2pB017l.d15h
    Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.37-0.7

    LAN IP Address: 192.168.1.1
    MAC Address: 00-08-5C-DB-28-4A
    Default Gateway: 117.201.48.1
    Primary DNS Server: 218.248.245.5
    Secondary DNS Server: 218.248.255.194

at these values(snr around 6)if i dial the phone it drops to around 5 and the line most certainly disconnects(splitter problem???)

also that the super frame errors value varies too much(from 10 to 100s)

also i have a joint in the line just before it comes to the splitter..
it is because the jack that came wit the wire got damaged so the line man
brought a foot long wire with the jack(on one end) and connected it to my line.
are there any other options rather than to buy a full length drop line from the junction box.

what if i bypass the splitter(i never never use my phone).i dint try it already
to make sure whether it might damage the modem.

    thnx in advance

CONNECT AN adsl splitter to the Phone junction.
Use the PHOne port to connect a PHOne ( whether you use it or not)
( some impedence matching AC ringer voltage standing DC etc )

UNcheck ADSL2 + box. SAVE reboot.
Recheck snr attn and line sync speed.
If still problem contact BSNL again.
You modem same as Beetel 220BX or wa3002_g4 ( less wifi pages)

SNR is a bit too low and attenuation is a bit on the higher side. Try this guide

http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...ubleshoot.html (Frequent Disconnection : Steps to troubleshoot)

If you do not use land line, you can bypass splitter any time. No harm in it.
