Thread: reconfiguration is not saved for adsl router

i have DNA A211-I ITI ADSL router. i have configured in PPPoE mode. But from last few weeks whenever i switch it off it gets its default factory setting. I have to reconfigure it change password every morning. If i try bridge mode(for dialup) , that case it again goes to default factory setting after rebooting. What may be cause? please help me

After making all settings GO to Management and select
Backup ( if needed) to say C:/My documents router settings.

THEN
SAVE REBOOT menu.
Wait for 2 minutes. Close browser.
Feedback.

How old is your modem ? Did it happen all of a sudden when the PPPoE mode was working fine ? Or it is like this since your last configuration ?

Try the method given above. If it does not work, try a hard reset and reconfigure it. See if it is happening again. If yes, you may need to replace the modem or live with configuring it every time you restart till it gets damaged beyond use.

thanks meetdilip. After 3 to 4, sometimes more attempts, it saves the configuration. In lucky case first attempt also successful(but u have to make configuration). Most of times if configured in morning whole day even after shutting down pc with router saves the configuaration. in morning again reconfirateit. Is it h/w or s/w or adsl line problem? thanks

Definitely not a line problem. You can try a firmware upgrade if everything fails.
