Exclamation Static ip Issue!!! Need Urgent Help!

    Dear Reader,
I had applied for a static ip to bsnl a few days back. After some days i was issued the static ip.Actually i needed the static ip for my cctv cameras hosting. Now after i have got the ip i dont know how to configure the settings.I am having BSNL Wifi Router.I dont know how to configure it with static ip.Although I have entered the ip on the cctv site(Note-Not in the modem just on the cctv site) and my cctv cameras are working with the ip.So should i go ahead and configure router with the static ip or let it remain as it is .
    Thanks And Regards,
    Surya Kant Bansal

Mention your BSNL adslmodem +wifi router model/make/number.
Instead of Obtain IP address automatically in the modem settings, uncheck the box and enter your Static IP. SAVE Reboot.

    Code:
IF IT works don't Repair !
Check for one or two days and report any problem.
You can back up /Save present settings to say C:/My Documents/ CCTV cameras working.
Check MANAGEMENT menu ( if available )of your modem/router.

    could be this model :
    Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM MENU

    Yes.
    Current IP Check
retype it in address bar. Since yours is STATIC IP it will be same always.

I think there is no need for you to do anything. In case of static IP, your IP or contact details for outer world remains static. ie, you can simply type your IP (which is now static and does not change every time you restart your modem) to access modem settings and if properly configured, your CCTV feed / page.

Can you please give details of your CCTV set up ? I have seen tools which broadcast any no. of cameras through IP or I can even telecast my current activity through my website.

You can access your modem by entering internal IP from your PC which you can get by typing ipconfig/all in command prompt.

The cctv is hosting through ip to a free hosting site..and it can host n number of cameras in an inbuilt system or page....i mean to say there no need for doing any site coding stuff...u just have to punch in d ip and the free hosting site and u are done...in other words i am accesing the CCtv camera DVR(Recording system itself). But my question is that wether i can access my router from any other location rather than pc and wether i need to change router settings n all????(Ps-Access to router i mean to say anywhere in world like we access sites)

are you accessing video like this from different locations ?
The cctv is hosting through ip to a free hosting site.....
Which IP address you use ? AnY virtual server/Portforwarding/DMZ
settings made in the BSNL router ?http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...1&d=1321012184

Insert picture to be deleted later.

    2. You can access your modem /router menu as explained earlier.

    Feedback.

If you have a STATIC IP no need for DDNS settings.
    In computer:
Start RUN new window type cmd OK
    New window
    type ipconfig /all

copy/paste here Or attach as annexure .*doc.
Blank your STATIC IP address as 59.xx.xx.xx
    3.
Check my Signature link Teracom and recognise the menu screen shots
    of your modem+wifi router.

Give feedback as mentioned in PM ( private message )
