Hey guys can we play cs online with 256 kb connection in bsnl broadband and how to play
Give more details about ur BB plan. If u are a BSNL user then u must be having a plan name. CS uses UDP protocol so its not neccessary that if are having low downloading speed then u'll have trouble in playing CS online. My 900UL plan gives me 30kbps d/l speed(after limit of 8GB) and ping of 30-70 during online play and thats quite enough.
[QUOTE=just4kix;347498]The OP has already said that he has a 256 kbps connection.[/Q
My ping is 203 ms.How to decrease it?
Well according to my knowledge of BB plans in BSNL, with 256kbps of d/l speed u are having a pretty good connection for playing online. Since ping depends on many factors like traffic, modem ON duration(as it gets heated up and increases ping) and BW of the connection, u may not get the same experience everytime. As my experience speaks, your ping will be above 70 most of the times.
How To Play::
Get ur CS 1.6 installed.
Add Indian Servers From gametracker.
Counter Strike 1.6 Server List | Search Cs Stats, Rankings, and Banners in India [IN] - Game Tracker
Join the server of your choice from the list at the game start up.
Adding Server::
Copy the IP from the gametracker(like 115.117.79.20:27015)
Go to favourite tab at the game start up and Click Add Server.
Paste the IP and thats all.
P.S. Most of the times favourite list is filled with non-indian servers. For ur convenience remove all such servers for quickly find indian servers.
I know how to play cs 1.6 online but i want to know how to decrease the ping of bsnl broadband?
I used to play sometimes back with my UL 750. The ping was terrible for me, used to get killed even before I could aim. My team mates used had one man short in actual. Stopped playing after a few tries.
You can try hosting the game to get better pings (was better for me), but if still having bad ping, I am afraid you will have to live with it. BSNL is not good for online gaming.
Thanks for reply meetdlip, i also have a Bsnl 3g connection will that work fine.....
Speedwise, it will be fine. Not sure about ping, give it a try.
this how to play confused me.. :P
There are few youtube videos on this topic changing few registry settings but they won't help a lot decreasing ur ping.
For BSNL
4mbps connection works fine. ping - 20-90
2mbps connection gives u nightmarish ping at times(though i played mostly via this one). ping - 70-150
750UL is of no use unless frags doesnt matter for u and u just want to increse the teamsize. ping - God knows(its was consistently above 100 in my case)
I haven't tried any other connection.
Thanxx for reply guys
Ping will not increase or decrease just because you change your plan to a higher / lower speed one if you are using the same network.
Believe me dilip, it happened to me..
Don't know about that, but I have tried plans from 256 Kbps to 2 Mbps. Never seen any difference in ping, nor has anyone reported it before.
@meetdilip is right.In BSNL ADSL Connection, there is no chance of getting better/awful pings in case of any plan change w.r.t to higher/lower bandwidths.No matter what, there will be high ping for any tariff plan you take. Maybe, the person is either talking about some other ISP or BSNL FTTH connection.
im on ul900+
for CS ping is 80-90
n for battlefield bad company 2 ping is over 150
I play fifa 12 online on EA servers and i get ZERO LAG even when im playing vs players from europe and america. I use 750 UL plan. If you don't want any lag then best option for you is to upgrade to 4mbps speed which is awesome for online gaming.
Hey can u tell how to play fifa 08 online?
