can anyone help me with getting new bsnl broadband connection with and without landline and tariff,speed,no of free calls(in case with landline)and other details.And how long will it take to get a new connection im living in annur,which is in coimbatore.

Para two:
A visit to the nearest Exchange. fill up the form for new connection, with proof of residence/ration card photo etc.
You may qualify for a Rural Exchange tariff plan. Check with CC ( customer care )

For all purposes type II adslmodem+4LanPort + wifi router will do.

since my father is a retired teacher.will i am able to get any concession.thanks in advance

You will need a land line to get an ADSL broadband connection from BSNL. But you can choose a combo plan where you can get free calls and no telephone rent.

Yes, you will get 20 % discount on usage and rental if you have necessary documents to prove that your father is a retried government employee. You can get an application forum for the same from exchange.

I use a Type 2 modem from BSNL which can serve you well with domestic plans. But BSNL no longer supplies modem to customers. So you will need to get one from open market.

Since you prefer a 2 Mbps + conenction with around 20 GB data per month and a budget of Rs. 1,500, select ULD 1350 which gives 4 Mbps till 20 GB and 512 Kbps onwards.

Your bill will be

1350 x .8 = 1080

1080 + 10.3 % tax = 1080 + 111.24 = Rs. 1191.24

Sorry meetdilip the budget is around 500-800rs.for this budget which is suitable,is night unlimited plan is suitable.Which company is suitable for buying adsl type 2 modem.

Night unlimited plans has very low day time limit like 1.5, 2.5 GB and NU time is 2-8 am. But if your day time browsing can be accommodated within this limit, it will be the best option for you. I am using UL 750. Try links in the previous posts.

As for modems, you can choose between Belkin, Linksys, Dlink, iBall etc. I think essbebe will be able to give you a precise idea on this.
