I want clarification regarding some Modem Settings of my modem UT Starcom 300R2u
This modem iam using since 2006 but recently saw some settings and thought of asking you:
ADVANCED -- FIREWALL
FireWall Configuration
This Page is used to view FireWall Configuration.
Protection Policy
Firewall attack can be configured based on you specific need.
Attack Protection: DISABLED
DOS Protection: DISABLED
default status is disabled.
Service Filtering
The following services can be configured based on your specific need.
(Must enable IP Filter first.)
Disable HTTP from External Network.
Disable Telnet from External Network.
Disable FTP from External Network.
Disable TFTP from External Network.
Disable SNMP from External Network.
all above 5 services are ticked
Shall i enable firewall and dos protection I am using avira free antivirus will enabling firewall give more protection?

Default is disable what does it exactly do????????? if enabled?
