Thread: Please help !!! almost tried everything to set up internet ..but all in vain...

Hi Guys,
Facing Problem with connecting bsnl broadband with my computer.

Router Model : Adsl 2 + CPE/IAD AN1020-21 type -WT .

Modem set up is done(ppooe mode) and other computes in my home except mine able to connect with no issues..

I was using Windows 7 for long time and found no issue in connecting..5 days back problem started ..not able to connect to internet most of the time.some times rarely it gets connect and will take hell lot of time to even load google.com ..I could not open 192.168.1.1 modem set up and even if it does it loads half site ..very slow...Tried assigning IP manually with dns ..no results..

Thought it is problem with windows 7 in assigning IP ,so i completely formatted my entire hard disk(made sure no virus / malware) and did a fresh installation of Vista sp2 home edition(network driver installed) ..Unfortunately same problem exist..and also tried Windows Xp sp3 same results...

Other computers in my home (one Xp and another Win 7) access internet with no issues .Right now my O.S is Vista sp2 home edition.

Weird is some times with manually assigned IP with DNS (above screenshot),network says its connected to Internet but i am not able to open sites(below screenshot) but torrent works.Firewall is disabled.

try to enable DHCP in modem/Router then goto PC LAN setting then check obtain automatic ... then try to connect again

if modem is connected and internet is not working then goto diagnostic mode and ping yahoo.com,google.com
if ping requested work fine then restart your pc and clear dns cache and release all ip configuration

if ping reqsute not work then it is internet ,line or other issue

just try it ...i am not saying it will work 100% but try it

Problem solved. it was cable fault !!!

probably my lan port is faulty..works fine with some cables...problem is with my port...thanks ...
