Default My BSNL 2Mbps plan DL & UL speed.

    Hello friends,
I am looking forward for my BSNL broadband connection to be fitted in my house very soon. Until then i would love to heard from your side.
Speed and usage are the concerns for me. currently i have one Wireless USB Modem of reliance (Net-connect+) which gives me speed around 180Kbps in night and 60Kbps in day time with total 13Gb data usage from which 10Gb is out of night(22Hrs to 6Hrs) and remained for day time that is 3Gb. I pay Rs.661 for all that per month(Postpaid plan of course).

Here is my download speed screenshot. you can check out.
    "ucozucoz.ucoz*com/reliancespeed.png" (replace star with dot)
Of course i would love to see some screenshots from your side, it would take some efforts off you but please i would never forgot of it and appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance!

Mention which plan you have applied for.

If line conditions are good, you get some where around 220 KBps and up to 240 KBps on good torrents and servers. Some users have reported that the speed will dip when there are too much load like in night unlimited. In such cases, speed may go down to 180 KBps in some circles but not all.

    Please note that

    512 Kbps = 64 KBps

    2 Mbps = 256 KBps

NU plans are cheapest if you are into downloading. You can easily fill a 1 TB hard disc in no time.

did you mean that i won't get speed above 256Kbps. is it that you wanted to say...? OK whatever, it doesn't matter, Bcoz speed around 150-200Kbps is much enough for me....
...i need daily bandwidth of about 2Gb that is total Downloading and Uploading data usage(i work on uploading files and making revenue online)
...currently i use to get average speed on my reliance datacard is around 150Kbps when traffic is very less. But here data usage is limited to 10Gb...and hence i opted for BSNL which will give me unlimited data usage at night sessions.
even tariff will also less than my current monthly costing. i think i am taking right decision to switch over BSNL from Reliance, do I ??

dude i have opted for BBG FN COMBO 500 plan and this has been satisfy me very much!! i think there should not be comparison of tariff between BSNL and reliance,,,,BSNL is quite cheaper than Reliance. I know reliance much better cause it's been two years long i am dealing with them.....but the service by reliance is the BEST! i think.
    Hello BSNL bye bye reliance!

You get full speed at ideal conditions. Normally it will be around 80 % of maximum speed.

Yes, there are software which automate the whole process.

the service by reliance is the BEST! i think.

May be you should take a look at the Reliance section

    OK! i will.
any way, bsnl exchange belong very near(approximately 0.4 Km) to me. And i am sure that one of my friend (currently BSNL Broadband customer) and i would be put on same port as both of us are very close. I don't know if it will affect the speed of him and mine also.

    Apart from this,
umm..can u please enlist one or two applications that will automate the whole process for me....like Establishing(connecting) network and then starting download(IDM is one i know very well) and finally disconnecting in the network in morning.

    Thanks for comment.

Mention what all you want to do with net. What all process you want to automate ? How many systems do you use ? Do you plan to use devices with WiFi like laptops ?

    This may help

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...oad-night.html (Automate Download at Night)

i believe bsnl as a good Internet service provider!

    My rating will be 6/10.

Yes, forsure, with NU plans you can download a maximum of 5.25 GB(if the downloading is kept on for 2 am- 8am) approximately.
