Question Configuring DataOne Broadband with some LINUX distros...

    Dear Friends,

I thought of giving Linux a try (obviously for the first time ). So I installed Mandriva 2007.

Everything was okay during the installation. But when it came to configuring the net, I was just fallen apart...!

Can someone help me by guiding me in a step by step process, on how to configure to use DAtaOne broadband in Mandriva 2007?

    Hardwares:
    Realtek Ethernet Card
    GLB-502T ADSL 2+ Router

you can simply use your router in auto connect mode
so that there is no specific need to make a dialer in
Linux os . that is to configure router in PPPoE mode &
user name and password are entered into router . the
settings are saved into the router . so connection is
established when the router is powered on & vice versa .

Oh dear mmm, it's give me pleasure to see your writing after a long time. Hope you are fine. (Perhaps u have recognized me by now).

However, the procedures you advised above are okay but it's not working. Would u mind to kindly elaborate, specially focusing on Mandriva 2007...!

    Waiting for you suggestions...
