Thread: Wifi connects to laptop but not to phone

Hi,
I'm using a nokia c6-01 (symbian anna) and a dataone broadband wa3002g4 modem. i use wifi connection with my laptop but I'm not able to browse using my phone. it detects, connects but shows an error when i start browsing. please help me

Connect in PPPoE "Always On" mode (Userid/PW entered/stored in modem wan page)
Enable DHCP in LAN page of router.
Ensure MAC address filter is disabled. ( In router)
Try with WEP security key or no security key used. ( In wifi settings)

and my modem config page isnt opening..can u pls tel me any suggestions abt hw to change my modem config?

Since you can use your laptop well, the settings seems to be fine. May be it is the password that is causing the issue. How many devices do you use ? Do you currently have only laptop ? Or do you use a desktop as well at the same time without any issue ?

Modem/router settings.
In Browser type 192.168.1.1 Enter admin PW admin
Go to Management:Select SAVE(Backup)from menu on left.
Back up to say C:/MY Documents/Modem/router working.
Then in working modem/router in one page Make ONLY ONE change, at a time.
IF NEXT button comes follow to next page.
If any problem UNDO the change and select another one as needed..!!!

Download application "TEAM VIEWER" and send PM ( private message and fix a time specially after 0930 PM)
or send a PM for another easy method to access your modem. only.
