    Exclamation Link Problem

When I keep receiver of my land-line BSNL phone engaged or not hoisted on the phone then I get the link on my modem and I can access the Internet. But when the receiver is kept normally on the phone then I am not able to get the link on the modem and hence, no Internet Access.

Can anyone help me out in this situation? I tried talking to the people at the telephone exchange office but they cannot understand what's causing this.

Mention modem - model and make.

Connect the line directly to the modem (bypass splitter) and check. If it is working fine, buy a new splitter (or get from BSNL) and try using it. If still getting problem, use a new phone instrument and check.

Which mode do you use ? PPPoE or Bridge ?

The modem is a ZTE ZXDSL 831AII.

And I use PPPoE. I will try connecting it directly and let you know.

    Thanks for the reply.
