Default Help set up DG834GU v5

My brother sent me this Netgear DG834GU v5 from Australia. I have tried everything to make it work, but failed. I have read 100 odd web pages, but none worked.

I want someone give a solution that actually worked for someone with BSNL broadband only. NO hit and trials please. I am so fed up, I actually feel like throwing it in the bin.

All the settings. All of them.

    Please.

@amasoun ... Please let me know your current location. Are you using any existing modem apart from DG834GU or this is the new modem you want to configure with your new BSNL Broadband connection?

Now a day BSNL binding MAC Address for ADSL Port in some area. If possible please note down existing MAC Address of your Beetel 220bxi modem ADSL port and change Netgear ADSL port MAC Address with the same. Otherwise you can call your local exchange and ask them to clear/release existing MAC Address and then you can connect with new Netgear router but keep in mind that you won't be able to use your old Beetel 220bx modem any more. Only way you can use in PC dial-up/wan mini-port mode if your modem support (I think only Type I modem support that).

I have attached one screen shot and if you are getting same error like "Initialize LCP" then you need to solve by changing MAC Address or releasing existing MAC Address from exchange end.

I think that is not true. I use 2 modems and more than one PC and switch between them at times. Works fine for me.
