Default Strange issue with bsnl nokia siemens residential router 1600

I recently replaced my [BSNL VMC AN1020-21] as i used to get high ping during online gameplay when compared to beetle 220bxi . I got this new NS 1600 router and the problem that i am facing is very strange.

First of all it reset itself continuously after every 1-2 minutes and after doing so for at least 4-5 times it starts working normally but only through a lan cable. The wireless is configured correctly and the indicator light is also lit but i cannot find it when i search for available wlan connection.

If i reset it to factory settings and then it works, however as soon as i configure the WAN settings and connect the dsl cable it start behaving the same again.

I did the following settings as per ESSBEE threads and that too didn't help.

    disable client tr_069.
un-check box adsl2+ Keep bitswap enabled.
    DNS. set to /Automatic settings.
wifi change wifi channel to 11.

So now the question i would like to ask is should upgrade the firmware? If yes were can i find one.

I was unable to find any firmware for this model or for Wa300g4. However, i do have the firmware for beetel 400tc1. So will that work.

And thanks in advance for all those who can help.

    1. no FW recommended.
    2.
Not suitable. Your NS1600 may be "bricked " buy a new one !!!
    3.
    In your model menu:
Device Info Statistics ADSL Extract the information.
    4.
Confirm Phones connected as per this diagram.

How many devices do you connect ? Does it happen when both ethernet and WiFi are working ? Or just WiFi ? Try using only WiFi.

Hope you did all settings properly. Do not use any system to connect (switch them off) and see if it is restarting even just for transmitting Wi Fi.

Take a backup of current settings, hardware reset the modem (using reset button) and reconfigure it. See if the problems happens now too.

If it is a new modem, better get it replaced for the issue than trying for a firmware upgrade.

4.without "bloodtest" I mean adsl data , you can only downgrade as FW, which is used at present is latest.
    after accessing modem settings
    type again 192.168.1.1/look.html
you may get the FW version also ( equivalent FW. of Beetel450TXI: THU-OQ-008)

    5.
If you can get another modem test in your line.

    @dilip

    1. Only one device is connected
    2. Internet is working {confirmed that using a stand by modem }
    3. As i said adding the WAN setting stwiches the wifi off through the indicator light is lit. Internet through cable does work.
    4. No software installed. Installation exactly as shown on the web page provided by ESSBEBE
    5. Already done the button restore and the software restore no help.
    6. Cannot get it replaced as this was the last time i could do so as the offer in which i got the modem as been discontinued.

    Thanks

@essbebe Will get the details as soon i reach home. Also, if i can not update then where can i get the same file so that atleast i can reinstall the firmware. I want to do this because net is working fine so the modem is good however WiFi does not work so i think the wifi driver might have got corrupted. This is what i think.

How does it reset ? Report the status of LEDs at that time. Does internet LED goes off ?

Which mode are you in ? PPPoE or Bridge ? Toggle mode and check.

@dilip Power lits up then dsl starts blinking the suddenly all four lan lights lits up for a second and the procedure repeats it self from the start.

Once the above is done at least 4-5 times then dsl becomes constant then wireless light lits up and it is also constant then internet light lits up and i can connect to internet through a RJ45 cable.

@essbebe after the restore the wireless is on by default and can be accessed

Something more strange happened. I wen t home turned the router on and now everything is working fine.

    So thanks a lot guys

Nice that it is working now. Take a backup of current settings and use it in case of any issues.

    NS1600 modem+wifi router (same as WA3002_g4)
When you are connected to internet send PM to me ( or @meetdilip( if Online ) , so that settings can be checked on line. after 7 PM.
Try GDMT. Google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

This could be from your AC power fault. The adapter you plug in at AC socket change to another AC socket and see any good effect.
