Thread: Broadband Account Temporary Hold

if i get a broadband account and pay the entire amount for whole year in the beginning and then later on decided i want to put a connection hold for two months since i have to go out on tour to a diff state.

can i do it? if so do i loose money for those two months or do i get those two months added to my account when i reactivate the acct from hold status?

In case of premature surrender of Broadband Annual/Two Years/ Three Years plan option, the charges shall be adjusted on pro-rata basis taking the disconnected FMC rate. In addition one month full FMC shall be levied as early termination charges hence forth.

Disconnect anytime. say after 6th month. 6 months rental PLUS
surcharge One month's rent will be charged.
Change over to lower tariff plan : same as above. Balance will be used for security deposit.

Worst case scenerio
:apply for Lower Plan tariff say Rs 250 plan. for two months,
or surrender the connection. ( No carry over unused calls or bb usage )

One year payment with BSNL is not so appealing though it has some benefits. You can get most out of it if you are sure that you will be using the same plan for one year no matter better plans are introduced (some times, certain circles get better plans) or the service quality is bad and you want to move to other ISP that has recently started in your area.

Not sure if safe custody option is valid in one year payment customers. Check with someone in admin section of your exchange. If yes, it will serve your purpose.
