    Default excess billing?????

    hi
    last week i received b 12,000 bill for excess usage ....
    i m in home 500 plan.
    i used to do browse mostly in 2 am to 8 am only(free hrs)..
    even though i used like this .. i charged for a big amount>>>>

    any one guide me plsss......

    what step can i take further..

    but in my point of view its mostly due to technical billing fault.....

    i hv seen tat loadz of ppl r complainin abt da inefficiency of bsnl to record there data usage [ nite unlimited ]
    just assume tat u "CONNECTED" ur net at 1.45am n "DISCONNECTED" at 2.15 am .. nd downloaded arnd 4gbs
    than dese dumb asses will charge u around 315 mb .. and there calculation goes like this
    390 min - 4096 mb
    so 30 min [1.45am to 2.00am and 8.00-8.15am] - 315mb
    tats wat i hv experienced

    u got to adjust ur clock according to the bsnl server and than make sure you connect at 2.05am and disconnect by 7.55am
    so nxt time u plan 4 massive downloads, than better adjust ur watch acc to bsnl

    Dude 256 kbps means 256 kilo bits per second
    1byte=8bits
    32kBps means 32*8=256 kbps tats ur max speed
    the same thing applies to 2Mbps in bsnl i.e. they offer a max dl speed of 256 kBps

    P.S. B - bytes || b - bits

    ya if you mentioned your surfing time right it is due to technical fault on their part.approach them.but most probably they will say that you have used that much.one good solution will be just to approach some consumer orgs like pahredar or someting .this process is advised only after you have tried and failed to convince them

    its mostly done in bsnl
    as they need some or other way to cheat the users
    u can register a complaint abt it in the nearest exchange u may get the refund
