Thread: BBG ULD Combo 1350 Speed Low

Hello friends

I have BBG ULD Combo 1350 plan and I live in Jalandhar(Punjab). This plan offers 4 Mbps up to 20GB and the 512 Kbps thereafter. But instead of getting 4Mbps (512 KBps) I get 3.2Mbps or 3.3Mbps. I mean it does not feel good to have a speed which is 60KBps lower than what it should be . After all 60 KBps can make a huge difference. I just want to ask that, is this normal speed I should get on this plan? or should I do something to get full 4Mbps(512 KBps). My residence is 3 Km distant from the BSNL exchange .I use IDM and at maximum it can download at 450 KBps. At what speed all of you download if you have this plan. Thanks in advance.

Where you ever able to get 512 KBps or 500 + KBps after getting connection ? Do you know anyone near your house who is getting proper speed for this plan ?

How do you measure the speed ? Download any file from Microsoft and check the speed.

3 KM is a bit distant from exchange and may have an affect the speed. Which modem do you use ? Post a screen shot of modem. You can blacken MAC ID and IP, but leave other details intact.

I never got 500KBps + speed. In my neighbourhood there is nobody who is using this plan. when I had BB Home Combo ULD 1700 plan which offers 2 Mbps up to 40GB and 256 kbps thereafter, I was getting full 2 Mbps (250 KBps +) speed. I mean for 2 Mbps I get full speed and when it comes to 4 Mbps it does not reach its full potential.

I have tested my speed at speedtest.com many times. And I have downloaded many files from filehippo.com with IDM but never get speed above 450KBPS.

I use Nokia Siemens Networks modem. I am posting some screenshots if I did not clear some factors. "You can blacken MAC ID and IP, but leave other details intact." what does that mean? will you please clear it in some intuitive way? I mean how to do that?

To blacken any portion of an image, you can use paint (in accessories) or any image editor. Draw a rectangle around the area you want to hide and fill it with any colour of your choice.

It need to be corrected at exchange. This may help

Thank you very much. I will go to BSNL exchange and will tell them about this problem. Lets see if they can resolve this issue.
