Thread: connecting galaxy tab 750 to bsnl broadband

i have read most of what has been written on this site on the above subject.

i can now access the WA3002G4 modem through Galaxy tab 750 wifi.

but i am not able to connect to bsnl broadband.

when i tab on the browser, after sometime i get the message 'data connectivity problem' and 'the connection to the server timed out'.

can someone help. thanks,

thats an ok solution but was looking for something better.

1. Connect in PPPoE ( always On) mode wa3002g4.
{ userid/PW stored/entered in modem/router}
2.
Enable DHCP. give a range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.10.
( some versions have UpnP button. enable it.

IN wireless page disable MAC filter or white list.

Try without any security key .

5.Confirm SSID appears in Phone.

6.You can try application "Connectify" in your laptop also.

i tried the chennai link which appeared to be more structured, however was unsuccessful. if anyone is using galaxy tab with bsnl broadband then those settings would be of help. thanx.

Basic SSID as entered in WIFI router should appear in cellphone.
Channel selected in wifi router 11. or 6
Security key wep WPA or no key.

Download application "connectify" and let the laptop work as an AP.
( laptop connected in lan mode )

Test your Phone.

tried your solution, basic ssid is displayed by the tab, but still cannot connect to bsnl b band. the typical dialog box where u get to type the username and pw does not appear. thanks for the interest shown.
