Thread: not getting good enough speed.

i have a 500c connection which promises 516 to 2mbps speed but all i get is 150 to 200 kpbs
is anyone getting the same problem

my modem is ADSL s4u+v1.0

2mbps=2mega bits per second=2048bits per second=(2048/8)=256kilo bytes per second(256KBps).all download speeds are measured in bytes per second & all connection speeds are measured in bits per second.avg download speed=~85-90% of max connection speed.

2 Mbps = 256 KBps

1 KB = 8 Kb

Something above 200 KBps is good speed for your connection. If line conditions are good, you can get somewhere around 230 - 240 KBps.

Download any file from Microsoft and post the speed.

200KB is the connection speed what more do u expect? 2mbps=250KB.. BSNL 2mbps i get around 220+KB.

my speed is 245 kpps..............
