Default Hesitant to go for BSNL BB.

I want to get a sort of permanent solution for my laptop and wifi mobile's internet requirement.
With BSNL(no other BB provider here) i prefer the UL750 plan with 256kbps bandwidth.
Im currently using vodafone 3G on my Galaxy Y and I wish to use just one connection for both lappy and phone.

The problem is that im worried abt 3rd class facilities by BSNL and woeful speed level.
Even thinking abt BSNL office and dealing with their stone age staff depresses me.
Is it reliable enough? I can invest more. In the past i have used mblaze, photon+, bsnl 3g etc and all of them have disappointed in some or other way.
    Advice me please.

BSNL BB UL 750 gives you a speed of 512Kbps (64 KBps). It is a very good plan. Behaviour of BSNL people is different at different places. In my area they are very good so it depends. Once you get the connection no need to deal with them. Just pay your bill online and no need to face them again .They do every thing slowly so it would take some time to get you connection. My wifi range is very good, my neighbour was using my wifi but now I fixed that. Don't worry about speed, if they do all things right. As I said it depends on your luck, whether you have to struggle with them or everything gets done smoothly.

+ 1 to zerotolerance.big's post. Me too on UL 750. I never had a serious issue related to line condition till date. There were of course a few downtimes which were fixed in decent time period. BSNL employees are the worst kind of people you get to handle (not that there are some good people too) but you can manage without dealing with them as you will need their help only when there is a downtime or line issue.

Is it reliable enough? I can invest more.

If you are a member of forum like this, you can manage without much help from BSNL staff. BSNL no longer handles modem issues, so that part is not a worry. UL 750 gives 512 Kbps unlimited all the time. If you can afford, try ULD 1350 which is much better.

If you don't know anything then shut your mouth. You have not written anything except " go to BSNL ofiice or go to Goggle." Not only in this thread but at every thread you have posted.

Agree on the same,I am on UL750 plan for a long time, been a couple of years now, have not had much interaction with BSNL support as just twice in the last 4 years is
when i had an issue due to line fault and i needed to contact them. Otherwise just pay your bill online and nothing to worry about.

Google is itself relying on us for such info. It is well informed people who have made google worth searching for.
I've filled the form and it ready to be deposited tomorrow. Thank you ZTB, Dushie and Dilip.

Hello! You have not mentioned your location.BSNL service is very good in south india.I am In mysore.I got BB in 2009 aug.I had BSNL LL phone already. No hassles.Once the modem went dead just 15 days after warranty.they replaced it freely!the best thing about BSNL is the transparency. It is just not there with any pvt ISP.maybe in certain locations in North BSNL staff are lazy lethargic!BUT THis UL plan speed is less.i am on home 500c with 20% rebate since I am aretd PSU executive.(BHEL).with 1.5Gb limit the speed is v gud!2mbps.
