Thread: Need help for connecting wifi router to existing BSNL modem

Hi,
I have an existing BSNL (ADSL2+CPE/IAD) router and I want to connect a wifi router(Zyxel NBG-417N) to it to use my laptop(windows 7) and Iphone. Please can someone help me with setting it up step by step. Difficulty I am facing now is wifi router is converting the onternet signal into wifi but my laptop/phone cannot connect to internet as it doesnt asks for any password uthrntication.

Can your laptop showing that it is receiving a wifi network. Look at near system tray of your laptop. Your laptop would not ask for password as your wifi connection is not secure(you didn't have set any type of security in your router).

Yes, it does shows but after connecting it internet doesnt works. Same problem with iphone too.

You mean, your laptop is able to connect to internet but you are unable to browse the internet? Go to Control Panel ->Network and Internet-> Network and Sharing Center, and look there if it is showing you connected to internet.
