Thread: Other Modem

I am having Other modem not BSNl Modem.but always facing problem while working net work going off made several complaint but no use then I changed to the modem BSNL modem now no problem.Why other modem facing this problem.

It might be possible that the modem you were using before, was damaged or had some internal errors. Or it is also possible that you were using a modem that was not compatible with BSNL connection.I mean if you use BSNL compliant modem then it does not matter whether it is provided by BSNL or you have purchased it from somewhere.

Please give details of "other modem" and "bsnl modem "
Needed: Model name/make/number.
Since "other modem" also connected to BSNL, BB
we can check/compare the settings .

What was the issue you were facing ? Frequent disconnection only ? If so, it can be remedied to some extent by changing modem settings. If it works fine with BSNL supplied modem, the line condition till modem input is good. Also it may be due to some hardware error in the previous modems. Many 3 rd party modems work find with BSNL. In fact, BSNL modems are just cheap ones than high quality ones.

Try a hardware reset on old modem and see if it is working properly. If it is branded, you can use their service center to get it repaired.
