Question Can't browse Internet even though my mobiles connect to wifi successfully

I have BSNL broadband connection with wireless router of
Teracom. Our internet connection requires username and password for connection
for the internet. My laptop can successfully connect with the wi-fi and access
internet. But the problem is accessing internet from my mobile.

I have got Nokia C3 mobile, specially for its wi-fi facility to connect
with my home wi-fi.My mobile can successfully connect with our wi-fi network, but
i cant access using that wi-fi connection.I have tried it several times but
failed.Whenever I open my mobile browser,it shows options whether I want to
connect with the WLAN or GPRS,when i select my wi-fi option it shows an error
"COMMUNICATION ERROR,PLEASE CHECK YOUR NETWORK COVERAGE OR CONTACT YOUR SERVICE
PROVIDER" ,but i can successfully connect to internet via GPRS.Please let me
know if i have to configure other network setting for it or my internet
    connection allows such facility.

That seems to be the problem. You cannot use bridge mode if you want to use more than one system at the same time.

Can you see the WiFi network ? Is it password protected ? When you select it, does it show connected ?

Whenever I open my mobile browser,it shows options whether I want to

Make sure that your mobile works fine with another WiFi. You can got to a Nokia service center and ask them to confirm that mobile settings are fine. Try this guide for your local setup

No,i tried one system at that time,i.e,when i tried to connect my mobile using my wi-fi,my laptop was off.

Yeah,my wi-fi network is visible.I keep my network password protected. For the first time, when i searched for wi-fi networks and selected it,it required the password which i gave and then saved that network so that i can direct connect to it.Yeah, every time i connect to it,it shows connected to it,no doubt.

Whenever I open my mobile browser,it shows options whether I want to

but there is not much settings in wi-fi to be configured.

ok.thanx for the link.let me try this.well,i cant figure out whether its a problem of my mobile or router.Because my broadband internet connection is not those which have direct access to internet. It requires an username and password using which i have to dial a connection to connect to internet.

When you need to give ID and password to connect, and your mobile does not do, there is no active net connection for your browser to use. The link is a guide I wrote since many were having the same issue. Follow the instructions and it will be fine.

Ok.But how can I turn configure these following-
    1. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode.

    2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

    3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection (all machines), set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

I'm having BSNL Teracom router, after i log in using 192.168.1.1,then where should I proceed.

Here is the screenshot of my router home screen when i log into it.

I have attached the screenshot of my router home screen. Please provide me a step by step guide so that i can do it ASAP.
    Thank You.

    1. Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

    2. Browse modem pages for the option.

    3. In network connections

    @sidd913

You are referring to Calcutta Telephones link where point 12 says "use a switch for MULTIPLE computers."
    http://www.calcuttatelephones.com/da...tall/mu12.html

Presume you have only one Desktop or laptop. Switch not needed.

IN WAN page select PPPoE ( enter/store your userid/PW)
see link for screen shots settings.

( Rj45 ethernet cable connected from Lan 1 to to computer )
    automatically.
In the Taskbar an icon appears ( or similar ). left of Loudspeaker icon.

yeah,i have no problem with the laptop net access. Its perfectly fine. Also,my internet lamp is always on,so i dont need to dial the connection.

But the problem is with my mobile. My mobile can successfully connect through the wi-fi network, but since it didnt have a active internet connection.

As per the guide given by meetdilip,i have created a new PPPoE connection with the provided guide whether the internet is always on.I have reboot the router.Next what would I do?Please give me a step wise guide as i have taken this connection recently.

Does the SSID BSNL_AP appear in your phone. ?
Are you using a security key ?
Change the channel number to 11 .
    Enable DHCP.
    wait......

    @ sidd913

Presume you have set " Obtain IP address automatically " on both desktop and laptop.

Try connecting mobile when other machines are off. Report if there is any issue.
