Thread: Unable to open some sites

I have a UTStarcom Wa 3002-g1 type 2 modem. The problem is that some sites like Yahoo mail, Indianrail.gov.in etc. are not opening. I can open these sites in my cellphone through wifi, but not on pc. Any clue?

Check MSS MTU value select default 0
or 1480 for MTU. SAVE. reboot from current settings.

If in wifi all sites are accessed , Lan mode in desktop also should work.

Thanks essbebe, This is what is happening now.

While the page is still loading in the other tab, I enter the MTU value and reboot the modem. As soon as the modem turns off, the page loads correctly. But after the modem has restarted, the same problem persists, the page is still stuck at 'wating'.

I tried different MTU values (1492, 1454) also but nothing happened.

If in wifi mode Cellphone can access all web sites,
Modem /router settings assumed to be OK.

If you are using a desktop in LAN mode
Enter google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in

Network/properties/TCp/ip/properties page./DNS apply Save.

Try a different browser if using IE8
( Check Internet Options Advanced settings )
