    Default Need help on wifi router for BSNL Broadband

    HI GUYS
    I need a help from you.
    I am having a bsnl broadband and currently using a wired D-Link ADSL Router.

    Now I want to buy a wireless router.
    The issue that while searching for wireless router I found that most of the wireless router tech specification reads that WAN PORT of router is RJ-45. So how can I connect my phone line to RJ-45 WAN PORT.

    Please help.

    ADSL router setup ( Mention model number DSL502-T ?) .

    No Change except,
    ( You have to connect in PPPoE mode ( enter/store ID/PW in modem )
    Enable DHCP.
    The Rj45 cable from ADSL Modem will go to WAN port of a Stand Alone Wifi router. Another Rj45 from LAN1 to desktop.
    ~~~ wifi mode for laptops/phones etc.
    2.
    How to select a wifi router.
    Billion can be some 5200S . ( find the number and give details )
    Sample/Example Page : Confirm
    ADSL MODEM
    (1)Ensure you connect to Internet and can surf web sites.
    (2) In the modem find a menu item Backup
    (3) Back up present settings to say C:/MY documents/ Billion working
    (4) Access menu items and change to PPPoE mode
    (5) Enter/store your userid/PW in wan page.
    (6) Enable DHCP in ( Lan page?) give range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
    (7) Save Reboot.
    (8) step 1. System should connect automatically.
    (9) remove RJ45 from computer end and connect to WAN Port.
    of WGR614V10.
    (10) another RJ45 from LAN1 to computer
    WGR614V10 wifi router
    USE Installation CD or
    (11) Basic settings Answer No etc.
    (12) Advanced LAN change Ip address to 192.168.2.1
    (13) Wireless settings
    (14) Check Router status. ( Post screenshot as attachment )
    (15) Check desktop works in lan mode
    (16) Check laptop works in wifi mode ( No cable connection )
    Feedback.
    Both
    Bipac5200S ADSL MODEM + WIFI Router WGR614V10
    should be ON with present set up.
    If WIFI router not needed ( switch off ),
    Remove Rj45 from Netgear WAN port
    and connect to Computer( desktop)
    Switch off modem when not required.
    Keep Computer On to work without internet.
    Hi essbebe
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    To my understanding it seems like that I have to keep both the routers on for internet access.
    Basically I want to use only a single wifi router. I think for that i have to get a ADSL ROUTER with RJ-11 PORT. Is it true..
    Or can you suggest a ADSL wifi router ( so i dont have to keep my old modem/router on too ). I am limited on budget( Rs. 1500 ) around.
    I appreciate.
    Please see link in Post No 2.
    a 3 in1 model which you want costs about Rs 2000/=
    TEST
    In your laptop ( connected to Billion 5200S) download application
    "Connectify" It will work as an AP (Access point) for other laptops/ cellphone etc.
    ( No wifi required )
    Or
    In Desktop ,insert a PCI WLAN card ( cost about Rs 1000/=) for same "Connectify"
