Thread: Wi-fi Router Issues

Hi

This is my first post in this forum.

I use a 6 year old BB connection of BSNL chennai.I am using the SmartAX MT882 modem which was given during the installation.
In the recent past i bought a laptop and ipad.One of my friend suggested to buy a wi fi router so that i can connect all these devices to net.
So i bought a Belkin N150 basic wi fi router and installed it.But i cannot connect any of these devices to net.I tried all techniques in the forum.but it didnt work.
Is there any specific procedure present to connect the wi fi router.
Can u guys help me with this issue.

SMARTAX MT882.
Step 1:
Ensure you select PPPoE in MT 882
( enter/store your ID/PW in WAN page )
Enable DHCP give a range 192.168.1.3 to say 192.168.1.10
SAVE Reboot.
Check system connects to Internet automatically. Confirm.

Belkins WIFI router. JUST type this in SEARCH BOX above.
wait.... Follow similar procedure given for Netgear WIFI router.

Anyway again i checked my bsnl modem and found that dhcp has not enabled.So i enabled it and finally router started to work.
