Thread: Linksys E1200 wifi router with BSNL

Hey guys,

I recently got an android tablet(iball slide) and Linksys E1200 wifi router. I want to use my tablet for most of the browsing as an alternate to PC. But the problem is my BSNL internet requires a User ID/Pass login to connect to internet in my PC. How can i connect to internet with just the tablet?(I mean with out turning my PC on)

Mention the ADSL modem details make/model/number.
used ahead of Wifi router Linksys E1200.

ADSL Modem Settings
Access modem settings and select Advanced Options WAN
Uncheck "bridged" Select PPPoE next
Enter userid/Pw etc
In LAN page enable DHCP. Give a range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
SAVE reboot. wait for 2minutes.

Check SSID as entered in Router appears in Tablet (iball slide)

Once setup and Internet connection confirmed , desktop need not be on.
