NO. Processor has nothing to do with broadband speed. Your broadband speed is controlled by BSNL or whoever it is. Are you not getting speed according to your plan speed? If that is so then some changes(mostly settings related) can get your speed on right track.

my bsnl plan is night unlimited 2 to 8 am i get speed around 170 to 190 kbps

Kbps or KBps ? How did you measure the speed ?

Promised speed is 256 KBps. You should be getting around 200 + KBps at the minimum.

Yes I have BSNl connection 1350 ULD Home Combo. You should say that you are getting 170 KBps to 190 KBps (not 170 "kbps" or 190 "kbps"). Dilip is right, You should get at least 200 KBps but in this case your processor is not the problem. There could be tons of reason for this, the intelligent people here will help you. and I will try to help you too if I can.

I am sorry not to understand your question so I ask it again.
    1. Do you want to connect Desktop and laptop to transfer files between them?

    OR

2.you want your laptop and desktop to be connected to internet simultaneously?

You can do both task. To connect them with each other you should have an ethernet cable. To connect them to internet simultaneously, you should have a Wifi capable modem.

    @ master05

    Try this guide

http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...onnection.html (How to: get max. speed of a connection)

Also try a Linux torrent (Knoppix, Ubuntu etc ) which has more seeds than peers and check.

changing processor or ram doesnt increase transmittion speed but may increase your browser processing speed. i.e. the time your browser compile and show your webpage will be good on higher processor and high ram than a low end system
