    Default Bought a new Modem.. . . Need help in configuring

    i bought a new modem. And i dont know how to configure it. I connected the wires and logged into 192.168.1.1 and dont know what to do like pp0e or whatever.

    Modem name: iball Baton ADSL2+ Router

    please helpj

    IF you had used a Dialer to connect
    connect the new modem Ib Baton LR6116A and try
    ( with factory settings )

    If not using Dialer or not connected
    VPI/VCI for BSNL 0 and 35. select PVC0 Others deactivate.

    which username and password is to be put in the pppoe/pppoa in the interface setup. Is that the one we used to check the broadband usage?

    yeah,the username your ISP provided you as Service ID and password.

    I finally ended up going to the bsnl office and they set it up for me.

    and now working successfully

    At least , did you get the settings saved to a ROM file in your hard disk?
