Thread: problem type I modem

I've a UT300R2U type I modem and of bsnl data one connection. The modem is works fine for half an hour initially, after that it is resets on its own and starts again automatically. If i keep the modem off for half an hour and switch on it work fine for 15 min. and again the sane problem starts. What may be the problem. I complained about the line. They cleaned the line and. but the problem is still present.

Confirm you can access modem menu pages , and extract data,
and post screenshots/ make changes in the modem.
Check the system log. .Check Idle time is 0, in wan page.

Confirm you get connected to Internet automatically.
Confirm the connection is NEW and BSNL had made the settings.

Could be a modem problem. Check with another one and see. If you cannot arrange one by yourselves, ask BSNL people to check with a working one and confirm that line is clear.

SNR Downstream 7.0 Upstream 19.2. Attenuation Downstream 24.0 Upstream 11.9.

Certainly line issue. Talk to SDE of your exchange and show him the SNR and attenuation values. He will understand.

Try uncheck buttons adsl2 and adsl2 + Save reboot.
see whether GDMT is selected later Annex M also disabled. Bitswap enabled.
Line Rate/Rate both cannot be same. (D/L)

I changed the modem. now the connection is o.k. I think the problem was of the modem.

Compare Board ID& software version as seen in Device Info

Modem is Teracom, model - T2-B-Gawv-1.4U10y.B1. Using for last 10 days and is still working fine. But the internet light which is suppose to flicker during internet traffic is not blinking. why so?

Do you use "Dialer" ( "Bridged"in WAN page ) mode ?
