Smile Nokia Siemens Residential Router 1600 - Port Forwarding

Open your modem config page by typing 192.168.1.1/main.html and go to Advanced setup. Then go to "WAN" and click on "Add" then do not write anything in "port" and "VPI" column just write your UTorrent port in "VCI". Click NEXT NEXT SAVE SAVE . In left panel find "DMZ HOST" under "NAT" and then enter Desired IP Address in DMZ Host IP Address ( Enter IP Address only of your computer on which you want port forwarding . You can check it in your tcp/IP Setting) and click onSave/Apply button. Wait for 1or 2 minute and Switch off and switch on your Router.
If every thing gone fine you will see a green light ( Please wait at least 2 min )of joy in your torrent client.

To know your computer's IP address --

Go to the Start menu, go to Run, and type "CMD" in the dialog box
Without the quotes, type IPCONFIG/ALL and press ENTER.

Now you should see some network information, along with the IP ADDRESS of your computer listed.

Now I am in bridge mode mode but, for more than one year I was using PPPoE mode. In PPPoE mode I did this to open my torrent port in modem. this port was 56560. Putting IP address of my computer in DMZ HOST is must for this. here are some links of the procedure-

Entry as suggested in VCI box to forward PORT for Utorrent is unusual.
( seems a dummy entry to me No effect. )

Connect in PPPoE mode.as usual enable DMZ.

As I don't use Utorrent, unable to test.

Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) refers to an 8-bit (user to network packets) or 12-bit (network-network packets) field within the header of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode packet. The VPI, together with the VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) is used to identify the next destination of a cell as it passes through a series of ATM switches on its way to its destination. VPI is useful to reduce the switching table for some Virtual Circuits which have common path. In simple words these two numbers simply tell the DSL equipment on both the sides that the communication to be established between them. Source web.
