Thread: error 651 computer hangs windows 7

Internet was working fine throughout the day.

Before going to bed I tried to connect and PPoE dialer either
1) Hangs computer (svchost netsvcs using lot of cpu)
2) gives error 651

computer just hangs with bridge mode also

I am posting from airtel acct on same computer with same modem that is working fine.

Can this be due to problem @ local exchange ?
Happened few months back exactly like this.
