Help me how to configure TP-Link TD-8817 modem for BSNL Brodband connection i already configured but internet connection is very slow and i'm loosing internet often for very 20 minutes it is getting disconnected
i run quick start wizard and given the following values for VPI=0 and VCI=35 help me to increase by internet speed and also for Stable connection...

please my internet connection is sucking....

Enter google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in modem Interface/internet page
SAVE.
Select in ADSl page GMT SAVE
Reboot F rom current settings.
Check speed here and report. also plan speed.

Thanks for your prompt reply while i'm saving any info on interface my modem is showing an error message of duplicate values found for VPI & VCI my BSNL Brodband plan is 512 kpbs or 625 plan monthly

speed test results as ds=284kbps; up=485kbps but when i'm downloading any movie file from a torrent site it is showing down speed range as 23kbps up speed range not more than 5 kbps as up speed

my utorrent values settings for down & up speed are unlimted it took almost 1 1/2 hour for yahoo messenger downlad for 22mb....

Need your assistance... help me..

512 Kbps 64 KB/sec 3.6 MB/min YM ( 22 MB)direct download in browser less than 8 to 15 minutes. (* conditions apply !)
Try it. or some other file. of say 20 MB size.
Check speed here again and see the summary results.

Recheck Torrent settings. Confirm DNS changed. Change to GDMT.

GDMT Stands for

GDMT: Generalized Discrete Multi-Tone:
One kind of modulation mode selected for speed below say 4 Mbps.
Check in Status/ Device info Mod mode selected snr/attn/ synchspeed/ rate etc.
recheck after selecting GDMT
See under ADSL menu item and change. SAVE reboot.
