Thread: does bsnl provide 2nd modem after exchanging

i have purchased a modem 4rm bsnl n that modem was working after that the modem stopped working due to some problems n they replaced the modem with siemens c2110 n that looks pretty old.

You should be happy, you got a modem in exchange!
Bsnl is stopping supply/sale of modems and routers, and asking users to buy in outside market.

the modem which i bought had got 1 yr warrranty(as i have purchased it) so bsnl should provide me a new modem instead of a old modem

According to you can exchange 12 times for a new model.?
Once bought it is second hand stuff.
Try for another exchange for a better model.
Say intermittent operation etc.
The modem you returned will be tested and serviced, and given for rental users.( or probably you will get it back next time you go for exchange. !!)

If on rent any time you get replacement!!
After about three years or so you Own the modem as 50% of rent paid is taken into account. Pay the difference. Security Deposit refunded or adjusted towards cost of modem.

What is the model make/number you purchased ?
Siemens C2110 board plus WIFi is the Teracom AR800V3 / TB/VMCAN1020-21/ etc wifi models.
This modeC2110 has different FW versions

model no-t1-b-dsl699e9.4u6-5 then after that they gave me siemens c2110 mdem nd that modem is pretty old plzz help me yah...dnt want a 2nd hand modem man...help!!! i told them that this modem is pretty old but they said it was new!! but it was clearly as daylight that it is old...help brother...

yeah want that model badly so tell me dude what to do nxt...totally confused man....

Check/give the firmware version, and spell out what is the problem ?

nd currently in pppoe mode nd tried the mtu settings didnt work brother...

dude pppoe automatically connected when powerd modem on..

I get "annoyed " when I get "smartguy" replies to my queries.
or counter questions, without giving answers.

srry for that i hv tried everything u told still not working....the worst not even opening google and bsnl site

i hv changed my connection from bridged to pppoe mode nd pppoe mode means that password username stored in modem(according to u)..nd i am using now pppoe connection...but not even a single site is opening except india broadband forum... nd srry once again essbebe if i have annyoed u...

Better exchange the modem again on Monday

i just power on the modem nd it gets connected(as i saw) in my network place it says internet gateway is connecting....

, How do you post messages in this forum and surf the internet , when Siemens C2110 is not connecting /working ?
Which other /modem you use ? or posting from Cybher cafe/ cellphone etc .

i am sorry 4r my mistake i have tataphton plus which helps me to connect to the internet

Do you keep BOTH connected at the SAME TIME?
Tata Photon and BSNL C 2110?

Switch off TataPhoton or remove the card and try.
Your screen shots in Post No 11 show you are connected with C2110.
Post this screenshot of your connection with C2110.

Post ipconfig /all when ONLY Tata photon is connected.

Or if you have to use a Dialer to connect Photon,
try Dialer mode( "bridged')in wan page of C2110.

@essbebe i dnt use both at same time the settings for the modem i have already saved them desktop....when c2110 modem is brought nd now i am using photon + to surf net.....pls help me nd tell me what to do this modem..did i need to configure it again??? or replace it?? pls help brother i knw ur da best in those cases...pls help

Understand you don't use /connect (Photon+c2110)both at the same time.
