    Default My Broadband bill

    Hi All,

I got BSNL 1350 combo plan. I have paid 500 rs as an advance. I also purchased modem on my own.

In my first bill i have been charged around Rs.3115. Not sure why I have received this much amount.

Still not yet received my hard copy of the bill.

    Here is the bill details.

    Accessory Rentals --1350
Miscellaneous Facility Charges ---- 1600 (not sure abt this )
    Service tax---- 164

Could some kindly clarify why i received this much amount.

    Thanks

One months BB rental as Security Deposit viz Rs 1350/= No TAX!
    Modem cost Rs 1100/= + tax charged 10% +.2%sc + .1% sc

BB usage charge from _________ to ___________
Use Einstein's formula !! modified for BSNL!!!
    ( E=m*c!)
    1350 x X/30=Rs _______(E)
where E amount to be paid m= monthly charges
c= no of days divided by days in month ( usually 30 taken )

BB Installation charges Rs 250 ( whether modem on rent /own/purchased )
Telephone installation IF New _Rs 250/=-
Security deposit for telephone calls Usage _Rs_500
Security deposit for Telephone Instrument ( if provided ) Rs 500/=

Accessory Rentals is the BB charge for the current month ( I suppose you got connection from 1st of the month => full month rental of 1350)

Miscellaneous facility charges includes 1 month BB deposit (1350)+500 for telephone(if new conn)+250 BB installation charge+500 telephone deposit (If new conn, Eventhough it is combo plan). That should add up to 2600 or 1600 depending on whether telephone line is new ot old.

Service tax should be 10.3% for the 1350(Acc rental) + 1350 (BB deposit) = 278.1

As you have already paid 500 deposit you can subtract this from the bill.

Now, I dont know how they arrived at that figure of 3115. But if you have made any phone calls, then you have to add them too.

Better wait for your bill hard copy and then contact BSNL for clarification
