    Default Help!

    Hello Guys,

I am a foreign researcher trying to find out what modem/router brands are provided by BSNL, MTNL, Reliance and Bharti when subscribing to their broadband packages

I know so far that BSNL offers Teracom routers but would there be multiple brands involved, also, would any of you happen to know the ones offered by the other companies ?

Big reward for the one that helps!

    thank you,

    regards

    Joshua

    Hey Mickey,

is that just a list of modems/routers available in India ?

I am after the ones that are provided by these companies when subscribing, not all that are compatibles, i.e ..
    BSNL provides Teracom and ZTE
Relieance : ZTE - Belkion etc..

is this information true ? do they provide more brands when susbcribing than these 2 ? .. what about the other 2 providers ?

I nice bottle of vodka will do then!

Do you guys know if there is a UTSA brand or is that a model of a BSNL modem ? .. i.e , BSNL UTSA WA 3002G4 modem

What about MMX (micromax) , is this a modem brand ?, I think Airtel provides it with Air Wifi

(A)BSNL supplies Siemens type routers . "Teracom ".
and recently many new users have reported that BSNL ( as well as Airtel) have stoppled issuing Modems and routers and asking users to buy from outside market.
This model is not very popular ..

    (B) UTSTAR WA3002_g4 group see signature link below
covers adsl modem and 3 -in 1 models both issued by BSNL and Airtel. ( earlier )
Beetel 450BXI has WDS mode ( some versions )

    (C) Another group UTSTAR WA3002_g1
Maximum issue by MTNL and many models with refinements

    Sterlite models.
    see my sig link 450TCI.
Airtel issued Binatone models of this type.( also Tata)

    (D) Short guide for Choosing Wifi routers.
    http://*******************/index.php?topic=4978.0

    (E) If wifi mode is required for a longer range ( radius of activity)
models with detachable antenna recommended. a 5 dBI antenna can be attached.

    (F) Dlink models some also fall in above groups now a days.

(G)If you specify your specific requirement, number of computers used in network, speed of connection/ facility for direct storage to additional Harddisketc some specific models can be suggested (example DlinkDSL 2750U)

    (H) Just for comparison of different TP LINK models and price see this web site.
    http://www.smartshoppers.in/category...&direction=ASC

    (J) Other routers ( wifi also ) like ASUS/Dlink/Linksys/Netgear/Belkin/ Buffalo ( not grouped in above )can work /used for all Indian ISPs.

    (K) For VOIP use usually an additional unit supplied by the provider needed. OOMA/Vonage ( Using OOma now. . ( and MagicJack)
( some models have added Menu option for VOIP and for IPTV )
