Default Plan Changed to ULD 1350.. Self care and Portal showing different Plans

    Hi

I am on FN combo 500 plan at the start of this month
and after calling to 1504,i have given request to change plan to ULD 1350 on 14th and its activated on 16th., as i got sms that my request is provisioned

    I have two problems

prob 1 : I dont know exactly plan is change to ULD 1350 or not. Selfcare and portal showing diff plans

Prob 2 : if assumed that plan is changed, speed is 2mbps only

I'm still getting 2mbps speed and i did raise a compliant in 1504,after 1day it was close, but speed is 2mbps only, my ip range is 59.*.*.* in 500 plan and also now

I called to broadband people in exchange,he is saying we are looking ,but 3 days are over ,speed is only 2mbps

But in Dataone.in or 10.240.240.195 or in 10.240.43.216portal is showing the old plan and data usage is counted

But in selfcare Datausage in not counted

Sending sms as BBU NNNNNNNNN (NNNNNNN-Telephone number with std code) to 52295 also showing broadband usage as per 10.240.43.216

But when i call to exchange or 1500 or 1504,they saying plan is changed

How to confirm this, still 13 days more for me to get bill

    screen shots

Can i take selfcare and confirm that plan is changed

and in selfcare main page, IP based services link is giving error to me,so only means i can know plan change to open service request menu and check in that page

Same problem with me,too. But I have been using this plan since last few years.
In my area 3g (Airtel3G only) is newly started. I have checked it. It is good. speed up to 5mbps.

Now I want to switch to Airtel3G due to several reasons:

    1) No need to be harassed for cable and line problem (this always arises with BSNL)

    2) No speed problem. As BSNL broadband has

    3) Value for money. Because even when you are not faulty, always have to pay to BSNL. If you want rebate for not using bandwidth (when fault lies in BSNL), will have to make several rounds to office.

I think for me bsnl lasts for this month . At least, with 3G, you are having peace of mind.

I need other members view / comments on this... on my decision... Because 3G is new for me!

    Thanks...

I just moved to ULD1350 plan in the first week of January. By whatever you have mentioned i can tell you that your plan changed has not happened, i advise caution in usage as you will get a hefty bill.

For moving you to 1350 ULD, they would need to do a profile and configuration change for your account and port settings. Your connecting IP would change from 59 ... to 117 .... Also after the profile change is done your modem connection upstream and downstream values will change.

So please follow up with the exchange or the area manager to get this done. Once this activity is complete , you can check your modem connection speeds and the server you are getting connected to. Also in my case they sent a confirmation SMS on my registered mobile no that plan change is effective from today.

    Hope the above helps.

I was using BSNL 3G and now have moved on to Airtel 3G as the speeds are excellent in areas i need, at my home and office. Also in BSNL my sim was capped to 2 Mbps. While in Airtel i am getting a max of 7.5Mbps download speed.

So service of Airtel is good, but please check the network coverage area in locations where you want to use the same. If you have good 3G signals there, you can go for the same and it would work well. I am on the Rs699 plan on which i get 2GB data download every month. On this i get Rs 150 cashback on my modem purchase. I got the modem for 1k, as i already had a better modem, i unlocked and sold the modem to a friend who is using my BSNL 3g connection now.

    Hope this helps ...

    Thank you so much, dushie!

Moreover, I use at least 15 GB of data per month (it may go beyond that, too), thus my choice was Bsnl ULD 1350 plan. If I solely depend on Airtel3G, I have to pay more. But after considering drawbacks of Bsnl, switching to Airtel3G worths.

    What other members to say?

    Thanks again...

As in my opinion, be it airtel, idea or bsnl 3g is costlier, if they give double data is part of the offer as they are offering now,it may be good as 1250,,you can get 10gb data, but if they withdraw double upload offer,3g is costly

they are rumors that 1350 plan will be having 30gb FUP and 900 plan will have 8gb FUP with 4mbps and after FUP ,its 512 kbps in both 1350 and 900. presenlty in chennai 900 plan has 8gb @4mpbs and after that 512kbps, where as rest of india has 256kbps

@dushie, i was also not using the broadband for fear of getting huge bills

when i called to 1500,they telling your plan is changed for sure.

I was also waiting for my ip to be changed to 117 range,,but they are telling me that my plan is changed, it seems bill is the only deciding factor for me

btw, can i change the plan through selfcare portal even before the completion of the one month? ie can i change to 900 plan or 600 plan?

You can change you plan whenever you want, because now there is no restriction that you have to wait for one month (I got verbal information from Bsnl Broadband office). But as far as selfcare portal is concerned, I will say not to stick with that. I made one complain on 5th of Jan (offcourse this year), that complain is still not answered. So I stop thinking any good thing from selfcare portal. Yes recently I changed Broadband password through that and my password was changed instantly ( I was surprised for sure)...

First of all i wonder how you where able to change your plan by calling 1504. i was unsuccessful in that. i had the same problem when i got my plan changed through selfcare website. they changed my plan wrongly to a limited plan instead of an unlimited one. i eventually noticed it too late and i got a huge bill. if your selfcare page says you are in ULD 1350 then wait for your bill, if not immediately file a complaint in the following link http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp

^^I would like to know that too. How were you able to change the plan by calling 1504? What did you say to them?

Yes, one more thing...I am having ULD 1350 plan. My issue is only getting 1.5 Mbps. My this complain is since I took this plan few years back.

Now for 2 days I am getting 10-40 KBps. I complained to SDEs (Phone as well as broadband). They have to say this problem is with whole Bihar. So I have to wait.

Any other member has this issue?

I'm from andhra pradesh. I made a call to 1504,selected language and then selected 1 to talk to customer care excecutive for manual broadband booking or complaint

then i asked him i want information on plan 1350 and he gave details, then i told i want to change that plan,he confirmed my phone number and asked me wait for a min till plan change request is placed and he gave me a request id for follow up

    thats it.

Plan change happened to one of my friend in just 4 hrs. He gave order at 10am and got his plan changed at 2pm same day by calling to 1504.

Its so simple,,i just stunned that BSNL Broadband improved by leaps and bounces

    since after noon 1pm , i'm getting error 691,

when i called cc they told that process of network migration is going on ,that is the reason for error 691

Guess bsnl is shifting me to NIB-2 for 4mbps speed

does process of migration from NIB-1 to NIB-2 takes hours????

They finally changed to NIB -II ,
    But speed is still 2mbps
since saturday, i had no internet, now after checking they capped speed at 1996kbps in modem and in reality i'm gettting of only 1.6 or 1.7 mbps (190-205KBPS) previously i used to get 1.9 to 2mbps speed (240-250KBPS), NIB-II is big let down for me.

    vERY VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH BSNL
    I am getting really angry.
I will fight with them tomorrow morning in exchange
