Default Beetel 450bxi freezing during boot(power on)

    Hi Guys
    Hope you are doing fine.

OK, I just switched to the Wifi router which is Beetel 450bxi.
    Its a OLD Router.

Whenever I switch it on all LED(power, lan, wan, dsl) gets on and remain in same state(to me its a Hang, because nothing happens then, no internet, no wan nothing).

Then I have to keep it restarting(hard boot/ power on- off) for several times and then it starts to work ( all LED gets on for a second and goes off ).
After that it works fine. No problem once it starts.

This same happens to my bike ( cold start, kicking kicking kicking x 50 and vroooom). But i know how to handle the bike situation but not ROUTER.

This happens every 9/10 times whenever I power the router

Please guys, if you can help me out.
Can a firmware upgrade solve the issue?
Is this due to power adapter?

    Any suggestions guys.

    Thanks
    Happy Republic Day

Before attempting Firmware upgrade ( heart transplant ),
let us have some Xray/blood test reports of your modem/router!!
    type 192.168.1.1/look.html
Get the Firmware and software version and post here
    ( ignore the fonts !!)
    Summary Statistics/ ADSL
Upload full page as attachment ) or extract Mod mode selected SNR ATTN sync Rate Rate data.
    2.
Assumption: your computer is in fine health an d internet settings are
    perfect.

Greetings for Republic Day Jan 26th!

Uncheck adsl2 + button. SAVE reboot.
Recheck SNR Synch rate. "Stable condition" expected.
Healthy (blood test) ADSL report !!!
    (Cholestrol) Attn level acceptable !

Also in Tools : If System Restore Point files are seen delete most
    retaining latest five.

Great to know that my router/broadband connection is in good health.
    Thank you Tech Doctor!
I have few question here, if you could please answer them.

    First
Usually i awake my router first ( desktop / laptop are still sleeping, not powered on yet ), still router do this hang/freeze stuff. So IMHO this might not be the malware/spyware/botware/virus/younameIT issue ( just in my opinion).
    Please torch on it!

    Second
Will disabling adsl2+ decrease my upload/download speed..

Modem first and then computer. Should start.
LED PC and data ( heartbeat ) will start !
No: d/l u/l speed wont be affected if you uncheck ADSL2+
Anyway check first speed here .
My Broadband Speed - Broadband Speed Tester

My modem on GDMT as posted earlier
Remote Chance : as you said the Electrolytic capacitor ( long period usage)in power adapter could have dried up. Try with an equivalent power adapter if available.
If you are using Dialer("bridged") Mode( ID/PW in computer window ) change to PPPoE mode
( userId/PW entered stored in modem ) or visa versa

    Thank you doctor...
But have the condition bettered or not...?? will tell you in two/three days

OK, Here are my findings after observing my Beetel Router for two days.

From the day I disable ADSL2+ my router booted in first attempt. I tried at-least 15 times and it never hanged on first boot ( power up).

    I was more than happy.

And just when I thought that The Cat is belled Now, today my router started hanging again ( while booting only, it works Fine once it gets on).

It took at-least 10 attempts to get on.

    Please EssBeBe help me again..

    Check in Management Status log.
. Problem could be in desktop/laptop taking too much time to load.
Mention OS used. Check in network Status Diagnose option ( windows 7)
    what is the error message?

Just checked there is nothing in Management /System Log.

I don't think that it is system or OS issue.

    The reasons(in my opinion only):

    1. It never hangs/disconnects/slow down once it boot successfully ( on continue use of 12-18 hours). Heavy Duty performer Easily fetches 1gb+ movie overnight and don't even BURP!!!

    2. I boot(power on) my router without connecting it PC/ Laptop. Once the router boots successfully only then I power on the laptop or PC. Even I don't put RJ45 cable in router until it boots successfully.

    3. PC is running XP ( SP3 ) formatted 3 days ago. Laptop is on windows7.

    4. Only refuses to start in Morning( Most of the time, I observed)... May be suffering from morning sickness.

The one guy too have this problem. He posted it here
http://www.indiabroadband.net/mtnl-b...ways-help.html (Beetel 450BXI lights always on, HELP!)

    Over to you Doc..

In status log you selected View log. click Config sys.log.
and then try. next page different combinations.

If you don't connect Rj45 to desktop PC led will not light.
    Also probability of intermittent connection.
Connect modem/desktop all normally and then try.
connect desktop :Lan. next try Laptop lan.
or keep modem On overnight. Don't cold start in the morning !!
    Power requirement barely 4 to 5 W!!

Only this forum you should not search. TRY a google search for
other hospital/s like VinuThomas etc for specialist consultation!

    Para two:
Probably a Heart transplant can be tried ( I mean Firmware upgrade !!)
50%-50% survival rate !!!! Get signature from Guardian!!
